The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attempt to attack Moscow with drones has been identified as one of the most substantial assaults in the past two years, according to TASS on Monday, June 22.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that air defense systems had shot down 84 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) approaching the city since the beginning of the day. Prior to this, the largest number of UAVs – over 190 Ukrainian drones – were neutralized on June 18, marking the most significant Ukrainian drone attack on the city in two years.
The head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, announced a temporary suspension of bookings, admissions, and accommodation for children in recreation and health organizations within Crimea. These restrictions are in effect from 11:00 AM on June 22 until September 1, 2026.
On June 22, a Ukrainian drone crashed in Gus-Khrustalny. For safety reasons, residents of three apartment buildings in the vicinity of the drone’s impact were evacuated.
On the same day, “War Correspondents of the Russian Spring” reported that following the capture of Konstantinovka, the primary objective for Russian forces will be to gain control of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, where the main battle for Donbas is anticipated to take place.
