The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kamchatka Territory has launched an inquiry into the injury of a 15-year-old boy. The teenager fell onto metal rebar while navigating a slope near a building at 1 Yuliyana Zhukova Street in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. His condition is stable and under constant medical supervision in intensive care. A transfer to a specialized medical center is being considered.
According to investigators, on the evening of September 27, the teenager took a shortcut, crossing a slope by a building. While climbing over a fence, he fell and landed on rebar. The injured boy was hospitalized with a bowel laceration.
"An official procedural check has been organized by the Investigative Directorate of the SKR for the Kamchatka Territory regarding this incident," the department announced on its platform channel.
Valentin Savchenko, chief physician of the Kamchatka Regional Children's Hospital, stated that the teenager's condition is stable and being closely monitored. He is conscious, communicating, breathing independently, and remains in intensive care under 24-hour observation. The child is receiving comprehensive treatment. Communication has been established with federal medical centers. Further treatment will be determined following a video conference with leading pediatric surgeons in Russia and experts from the National Medical Research Center of the Ministry of Health. Evacuation to a specialized center is a possibility.
