Law enforcement officers have apprehended an individual accused of murdering an organized crime group leader at the Izmailovo hotel complex in the autumn of 1992. The perpetrator was captured in Tatarstan. This was reported on Friday, May 8th, by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
“In the night of September 10, 1992, a conflict erupted between members of organized criminal groups at the Izmailovo hotel complex in Moscow. During the altercation, the head of one group instructed the accused to murder the leader of another group. The perpetrator fired shots at the man, who died at the scene. The suspect has been detained in the Republic of Tatarstan,” the department stated on its official Telegram channel.
The alleged offender has been charged and taken into custody. Law enforcement officials are continuing their investigation into the criminal case, working to establish all the circumstances of the incident and identify any accomplices.
